Church family, as we prepare to gather in person this Sunday, let me say how grateful I am that you have remained faithful in participating (live streams, Zoom meetings, tithe) during this odd season. Here are some things I want to share as we prepare to gather.

Step 1 begins this week. Step 1 is to gather at 50% capacity in the sanctuary for both our 8:30am and 11:00am worship services. These measures accommodate 125 people, plus overflow seating in the fellowship hall. There will be no fellowship time, Sunday School, coffee, breakfast food. No midweek gatherings.

Here’s what to expect on Sunday.

  • The tripod and camera will be set up – we will continue streaming the service
  • Greeters with hand sanitizer to spray your hands as you enter (lakeside and front)
  • Face masks will be available for those who wish to wear them
  • Seats are sectioned off in the sanctuary (125 seats), and there is spaced seating in the fellowship hall (50 seats) - please sit in family groups or with close friends
  • Doors will be unlocked and propped open 15 minutes before each service
  • Prompt and orderly dismissal will be vital to clean the facilities
  • The cleaning crew will thoroughly clean the facilities before and after the services
  • The nursery is open for diaper changing and nursing only – there are no children or teen activities during Step 1.
  • We strongly encourage families to stay together for worship

Since we will continue streaming the worship service, I strongly recommend you consider participating from home, especially since there are certainly some unknowns as we plan to implement Step 1.

We will be in Step 1 until further notice. Please help us by adhering to these recommendations so we may gather as safely as possible. However, these guidelines cannot ensure the COVID-19 virus will not be present or spread as a result of your attendance.

Join us in praying for your pastoral team and volunteers, as we begin this transition.

Pastor Matt Hastings
